Torbay Voluntary service produces a five year Business Plan that allows everyone involved with TVS to share a common vision and provide a framework for our activities.

Support for local voluntary organisations.
TVS aims to provide provide appropriate information, advice , training and support services to local voluntary organisations.
As well as publishing our own monthly Newsletter (members only), we have our regular 'NETWORK' column published every Friday in both the Herald Express and Brixham News. If you need to draw attention to a particular issue, please contact us.

Development of new services in response to identified need.
To further the efficiency and effectiveness of local voluntary action and assist with the development of new sustainable services to meet identified need.

Representation of voluntary sector views at local and national level.
To open channels of communication between statutory agencies and voluntary sector and provide opportunities to facilitate representation.

TVS is the Lead Body of the Torbay ChangeUp Consortium, the aim of which is:
To enhance and strengthen the voluntary and community sector in Torbay so that it can in partnership with statutory agencies reconfigure services and modernise to improve quality, reach and diversity. To develop and maintain effective networks of communication between voluntary organisations and statutory agencies. - To assist this Torbay Voluntary Service maintain a Database of voluntary groups active in Torbay. Details of those groups who have both supplied us with full information about their work and stated that they are happy for us to release contact details, are available on request.

missing out - we cannot put people in touch with them if we don't know who
